Life Coach Luka Scwekendiek gathered insight on the best habits for improved happiness and health, Medical Daily reports.
Schwekendiek found from successful CEOS and personal development experts that the the following are good practices for better health and happiness:
- Affirm and visualize
You have to believe it to achieve it, but believing alone is not enough. To achieve your goals and dreams, spend five minutes a couple times a date reaffirming what you want in life, and visualizing. Often we do not see our aspirations realized because we do not maintain focus and thus lose connection to the goals.
- Go outside
Make sure you spend at least ten minutes a day outside. Go on a short walk, or sit outside for a few. This will help you de-stress and recharge.
Treat your body well by exercising and eating healthy so you can perform at top form.
Whether you do thirty minutes a day or two hours a week, set aside time to meditate and contemplate and purge the negativity in your life.
Smiling naturally makes us happier, and when we smile at others, we make them happy as well. You will experience more joy by spreading more joy, so smile at the people you encounter throughout your day.
- Greet people
Challenge yourself and go outside your comfort zone. Gain more confidence by greeting people and talking to people you don’t know.
- Be honest
Lies are destructive and often make you feel stressed and guilty. Avoid this by practicing honesty with others and with yourself.
- Play more
Be creative with your hobbies and activities. Do things you enjoy, try something different, go to a new place. Find joy and laughter throughout your day.
