Team USX was formed by U.S. Expeditions and Explorations – a non-profit determined to raise PTSD awareness and focused on providing veterans with new opportunities to serve their country after their military service is completed.
Captain Elyse Ping Medvigy of Fort Carson was the first to summit the mountain on May 25, 2016 at 7:40 a.m. U.S Expeditions and Explorations believes she is the first active-duty female veteran to summit the 29,029-foot mountain.
Medvigy was followed by 2nd Lt. Harold Earls and retired Staff Sgt. Chad Jukes. Vehicle Overheated? Car stalled on the side of the road?
